The Lowrys at Taikura Station

Mark and Lucy Lowry, with children James and Emma live on and have farmed Taikura Station for the past 17 years. It is a 690 Hectare sheep and beef breeding property on the CHB coast between Porangahau and Blackhead Beaches.

The land contour is moderate to steep hill country with some flats adjacent to the coast. The soil is predominantly Wanstead clay and sand.

We farm 2600 Romney Ewes, 170 Angus cows and their replacements.

We have been supplying lambs to Coastal Spring Lamb for the past 3 years and are enjoying being a part of this great story.

When we are not out on the farm, we enjoy spending family time in our big coastal playground boat fishing and long lining and spending time at the beach with friends.
